Ubisoft finally delivered the long-awaited news during the Ubisoft Forward Spotlight event, announcing that Skull and Bones will be released on November 8, 2022. This is just one day before perhaps the most anticipated game of the year, God of War: Ragnarök. Normally, studios try not to coincide with the release date of big games so that sales are not affected, but probably the release date of Skull and Bones was set long in advance.
Moreover, the fact that Skull and Bones;s release date announcement was made one day after the God of War: Ragnarök release date announcement seems to have reduced the impact a little.
Multiplayer open-world pirate with survival elements will be available for PC, PS5, Xbox Series and will be available on the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store with cross-play and cross-progression features.
Developed by Ubisoft Singapore in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios, Skull and Bones invites players to forge their own destiny and journey from an exile to a famous pirate ringleader. To do this, players will need to increase their Infamy, or bad reputation, through exciting naval battles and rewarding expeditions in a dangerous world.
Inspired by legendary stories about piracy, players will experience authentic pirate life. From accepting contracts, to gathering resources, to navigating important trade routes, to attacking wealthy merchant ships, every decision will affect their journey, with varying levels of risk and reward. As they increase their bad reputation, players will be able to craft and customize their own naval fleet and unlock various new items throughout the game.

The game is inspired by the end of the 17th century, one of the deadliest periods in history. Considered the second golden age of piracy, this period is both chaotic and ruthless in the Indian Ocean’s untamed paradise of pirates, warring factions, powerful organizations, and empires fighting for power.
Every journey in the Skull and Bones universe will be unique. Players can expand their empire by joining forces with up to 2 friends or players they encounter at sea. For additional difficulty, you can activate PVP and use its powers; they can test against promising ringleaders, powerful organizations, local factions, and even rival hackers.
This game, built on an ambitious, multi-year plan after the release; New content will be free for all players, updated regularly with events, stories and challenging missions.
