In addition to the games, there was a hardware announcement at the Gamescom Opening Night, and Sony announced its first customisable controller, the DualSense Edge.
Sony describes it as “a high-performance and ultra-customizable controller developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment.”
“With the DualSense Edge wireless controller created to give you an edge in games by creating custom controls, you’ll be able to create a gaming experience of your own to suit your own gaming style,” it says.
Among the controller’s many customization options is that the analog sticks are interchangeable, but of course you’ll have to buy the new sticks separately.
Details about the DualSense Edge will be announced in the coming months. We do not have any price information yet, but considering that even DualSense prices reach 2000 pounds, we can predict that it will not be cheap at all.
