Sony yesterday announced new series and movies to be shot at PlayStation Productions, and one of them was Gran Turismo.
Sony Pictures Entertainment confirmed the TV adaptations of God of War (Amazon), Horizon (Netflix) and Gran Turismo during a briefing. However, according to Deadline , Gran Turismo will not be a TV series as it is thought, but a feature film.
According to the same report, Sony District 9 wants Neill Blomkamp, the director of important films such as Elysium and Chappie, to direct the Gran Turismo film.
Gran Turismo, created by Polyphony and Kazunori Yamauchi, is a series that has sold over 85 million copies since its first game in 1997.
There is not even a guess yet on what the plot of the film will be. But it wouldn’t be bad if Neill Blomkamp got involved.
