Firesprite, which was acquired by PlayStation, is moving from the office it currently owns to an office 20 times larger. Currently, the studio is located in Liverpool’s Vanilla Factory, a building that includes companies in the areas of offices, retail and entertainment. Firesprite’s office unit at Vanilla Factory covers 213 square feet, according to the building’s floor plan information.
Firesprite’s new office 20 times bigger
Invest Liverpool says the lease, which runs until 2032, is the biggest lease in three years. The company has leased land covering four buildings that will provide 4645 square metres of space on Liverpool’s Duke Street. Just three minutes’ walk from the existing Firesprite offices, the new office consists of four buildings, including the building used as Liverpool’s public library.
This large-space office will help Firesprite manage the numerous projects it is currently working on. The studio is working with Guerilla Games on Horizon: Call of the Mountain. Firesprite was founded by former members of Liverpool after SIE Studio was closed by Sony in 2012.
Sony then acquired Firesprite in September 2021, making it an official part of the ‘PlayStation Studios family’. Their move to the new larger office is likely to be positive for both PlayStation and Firesprite.
