Days Gone, a zombie-themed open-world action adventure game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, debuted in 2019. It is reported that Sony is working on a film project for this production, which has reached a considerable audience and has been appreciated by players on both PS and PC platforms.
According to Deadline (online magazine), Sony’s PlayStation Productions division is working on Days Gone’s film project. On this project is Sheldon Turner, who wrote Up in the Air. Scottish actor Sam Heughan, known for his roles in Outlander and Bloodshot, is planned to replace the main character Deacon St. John in the game.
Days Gone is set in the wilderness two years after a global pandemic. It tells the story of Deacon St. John, a former motorcycle gang member who is looking for a reason to hold on to life in a land surrounded by death.
