Sony, which is continuing to buy the studio, has apparently recently acquired Bluepoint Games, with which it worked on the Demon’s Souls Remake project. Although this purchase has not yet been officially announced, the Playstation was leaked via Japan’s official Twitter address. The Playstation Japan account, which posted a Tweet and image on the subject, deleted it shortly afterwards. Of course, during this time, many gamers have received images of this post and the post has been archived in the Tweetdeck app.
Sony appears to have acquired Bluepoint Games
We posted a story earlier in the day and noted that Sony had acquired the Housemarque studio, which is the producer of Returnal. The purchase of the Housemarque studio, which comes with games exclusive to Super Stardust, Resogun, Dead Nation, Alienation, Matterfall and finally Returnal and Playstation consoles, was announced on the company’s social media accounts along with the Playstation Blog page. Playstation Japan, which shared the misrepresentation and image during this announcement, probably sharedthe next announcement early.
In other words, it could be thought that the company names were confused, but when we look at the published image, just like the post for the Housemarque studio, the Bluepoint logo stands out this time. Moreover, while the images in the background do not include Demon’s Souls Remake in Sony’s announcement this morning, we see that the game has joined the visuals in this leaked announcement. In short, after this leak, Sony may be much earlier in the expected announcement.
Bluepoint Games, like the Housemarque studio, is already working closely with Sony. Founded in 2006 and brought up with Remake projects, Bluepoint Games often focuses on remakes, apart from original games such as PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Blast Factor and Flower. The Austin, Texas-based gaming studio previously appeared with God of War Collection, Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Titanfall Xbox 360 port, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Gravity Rush Remastered, Shadow of the Colossus Remake and finally Demon’s Souls Remake.
