Sony has begun testing a feature that automatically uploads screenshots and videos to your phone via the PlayStation app and then you can share them as you wish. The new feature is currently in early beta and is only available in Canada Japan.
Under the new feature, all videos you capture and record will need to be less than three minutes. Because longer videos than this will not be uploaded to the PlayStation app. Similarly, video clips with a resolution of over 1920×1080 will not be automatically transferred to the app.
Once you’ve activated this new feature, all screenshots and clips you capture will be automatically stored in the PlayStation app for 14 days. Even if you are not connected to WiFi, you will be able to view and share them through the app. To take advantage of this feature, you will need to have a PlayStation Plus subscription. (This may change when the full version is released.)
The latest feature developed does not yet have a release date. More information is expected to be released in the future.
