It has long been talked about that Sony wants to overhaul PlayStation Plus to make it game pass-like, codenamed Project Spartacus. Sony has been told it will launch the service in the spring, but new information says the release date is close.
VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb gave some more details about all three levels of the subscription service in his latest post.
First of all, this system is expected to protect the PlayStation Plus brand. The service will be available in three different levels: Essential, Extra and Premium, and will cost $10, $13 and $16 per month.
Ps Plus costs $40 a month and $10 a month. If the same charge is maintained, our prices will be as follows:
- Essential – 40 TL
- Extra – 52 TL
- Premium – $64
The level we call Essential is the same as the current PlayStation Plus. This allows you to play online games and gives you a few games that you can add to your library for free every month.
An “downloadable game catalog” of about 300 games will be offered at the Extra level. Grubb says everything that’s available for download on PSNow will be in this catalog.
At the premium level, players will have classic games and cloud broadcasts in addition to the above. Grubb said he didn’t know what classic games meant, but said it would be the most important part of the Premium level.
Despite all the information circulating about him, Sony has not yet officially announced the service.
