Publisher 11-bit studios and developer State of Play Games have announced that the story-driven adventure game South of the Circle will debut on August 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG. South of the Circle was first released for Apple Arcade on October 30, 2020.
Developed by BAFTA Award-winning State of Play, the game’s captivating aesthetic and nuanced writing style are reinforced by actors in productions such as “Bohemian Rhapsody” (Gwilym Lee), “The Woman in White” (Olivia Vinall), “The Crown” (Richard Goulding), “Game of Thrones” (Anton Lesser), “Chernobyl” (Adrian Rawlins) and “Downton Abbey” (Michael Fox), highlighting the game’s cinematic presentation.
South of the Circle is an emotional narrative experience that explores the relationship between Cambridge academics Peter and Clara, caught up in the political conflict of the Cold War. Alternating between career, true love, and our desire to keep promises, the story focuses on the weight of choices that drive our lives.
