The great comic book master Todd McFarlane has been trying, or at least says, to adapt his pupil Spawn for the big screen on his own. But ever since McFarlane said, “Spawn movie is coming!” the lead role has been set, Jamie Foxx. I think you’ll understand that when you see that. I can say that Todd designs such a cloak that it will be as big as the screen you are watching. I can honestly say that I’ve spoken to Todd and we want to make it something very special. I remember watching the first Spawn movie and HBO versions. What we want to do is a film that feels almost entirely original, and I would say that without giving too much detail.” Said.
The fact that Jamie Foxx didn’t give “too many details” was actually the biggest news we got from the film so far. Because an idea about costume design has even started to form in the minds. It’s too early to talk about things like a release date, but we know that McFarlane is working the film’s script.
