Square Enix is keen on the NFT and blockchain system. Yosuke Matsuda, the company’s president, addressed NFT, blockchain and Metaverse in a message for the new year. Matsuda is aware that the gaming community is not currently sympathetic to the NFT system, but hopes the blockchain system will make the gaming world “decentralized.”
Square Enix carefully monitors the development of NFT systems
Matsuda, who devoted much of the letter to his personal interest in the blockhain system, says the firm closely follows the developing NFT and blockchain systems. Matsuda says Square Enix is closely monitoring all developments to develop an NFT business plan and produce its own tokens in the future – possibly, he says.
Matsuda says many players are aware that they are not satisfied with the micropayment systems placed in the game. Matsuda;
” I am aware that players who “play games for fun” and currently make up the majority of the audience express reservations about these new trends, and this is quite understandable.” Matsuda believes that the content produced by players and the content produced by users is not sufficiently systematic and does not generate revenue for players.
Two months ago, NFT developers sent an open letter to Valve advising the firm to abandon its biases regarding the NFT.
