Developer and publisher GSC Game World has officially postponed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl until 2023. The game was thus postponed from its previously scheduled December 8 release date to 2023. In addition, a new trailer called Enter the Zone and a developer diary have been released that tells how the current war (Russia-Ukraine) affects the development of the game.
If we look at the developments, some of the GSC Game World employees decided to defend their country in the ongoing war environment. Following this situation, some of the team came to Prague, Czech Republic, and opened a new office there. The development of the game continues here, albeit slowly.
The Chornobyl Enclosed Zone changed drastically after the second explosion that hit the reactor in 2006. Wild mutants, deadly anomalies, warring factions have turned the Zone into a very difficult place to survive. But the objects of incredible value attracted many people known as stalkers to the area. They ventured into the Zone, risking themselves to have a fortune or to find the Truth hidden in the Heart of Chornobyl.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will debut for Xbox Series and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
