There may still be signs of life in the Star Wars KOTOR Remake project. The game developed by Asphry is thought to have been transferred to Saber Interactive after the new acquisitions of Embracer Group. Although Embracer has not yet announced it clearly, it has pointed out this situation in its first quarter 2022 reports and stated that the studio change will not cause any postponement. While the development process of the game is returning to the snake story, Embracer Group seems to have made a clever move.

Information from Embracer’s Q1 2022 reports shared that “AAA is moving a game from one studio to another” and that “this transition will not cause any delay.” In fact, the full statement mentions the situation as follows:
“One of the band’s AAA projects has moved to another studio within the band. This was done to ensure that the quality bar was where we needed it for the headboard. We do not expect a significant delay for the title due to this transition.”
Almost all players agree that the AAA project in question here is a remake of Star Wars Kotor. On top of this detail, let’s add that we will also see new announcements from Embracer Group studios at Gamescom.
