Bethesda has officially announced that Starfield, which is expected to be released on November 11; and Redfall, which is also said to be released later this year, have been postponed until the first half of 2023.
The award-winning studio behind games such as Dishonored and Deathloop, Arkane;in Redfall, a new xbox and PC-exclusive game, had not been announced. The postponement of this open world co-op FPS game was already expected.
There was also speculation about Starfield that a second Cyberpunk 2077 incident could occur if the game came out on November 11. Although Bethesda has previously given a firm date, it will have realised that progress in development will not be enough to make the game the expected quality, which has been postponed.
“Arkane Austin and Bethesda Game Studios have big goals for their games, and we want to make sure you play the best, most polished versions of these games.
We would like to thank everyone for their excitement at Redfall and Starfield. This energy is one of the things that motivates us every day and excites us even more for the work we create,” Bethesda said.
With Starfield out of the way, some games will be unbeatable in this year’s Game of the Year selections.
