Bethesda’s been working on Starfield for quite some time, but we still haven’t seen anything seriously tangible about the game. The new allegations against Starfield, bethesda’s next big game, came from Jason Schreier, one of the industry’s most famous figures.
Schreier says Starfield will be shown at E3 but won’t be meeting with players for much longer.
“Let me be very clear. Bethesda’s plan is to provide information on Starfield’s release date on E3. This date is late 2022. I’ll leave the details to them. But keep your expectations low and stay away from sending death threats if other rumors (he’s talking about the game coming out this year) turn out to be wrong. Rumors like this continue to circulate, but Starfield is far from over. It will be on E3, but the scheduled release date is far from what most people predicted. I share that don’t expect too much.
What people didn’t understand was that bethesda game studios were working on Fallout 76 until the game was released. By 2019, the Starfield team was very small. Rumors that the game was aimed at 2020 or that its construction was quite advanced were not true.”
I hope Bethesda doesn’t pass up just a little teaser and then an uncertain date, as she did in The Elder Scrolls VI, Starfield. At least a trailer where we will see what the game looks like can be very good at this stage.
