We finally got to watch the trailer for Starfield, the first original IP announced by Bethesda Game Studios after a 25-year hiatus, on Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase before E3. Keith Beltramini of Bethesda gave important information by explaining that no cinematic vehicles were used in the trailer. So everything we see in this trailer means that it was created directly with the game engine.
The trailer was created, drawn and produced by Bethesda’s Creation Engine 2 engine. Starfield is the first game to use this new 3D engine, and the trailer actually showcases the capabilities of this new engine in a way.
Beltrami worked with the play’s director, Istvan Pely, to help with the art management of the lighting and atmosphere in the trailer. He also posted some shots from the trailer on his own page, which perhaps clearly shows how atmospheric some of the scenes in the trailer are.
Starfield will be released exclusively on PC and Xbox Series on November 11, 2022.
