Offworld Industries published an official trailer for Starship Troopers: Extermination, inspired by the 1997-made cult classic film Starship Troopers. Last first-person shooter game Starship Troopers game appeared in 2005 and the same year Starship Troopers: The Miniatures Game and Starship Troopers: The Roleplaying Game was also released.
Starship Troopers was released as a novel before, but all game adaptations were based on movies, including Extermination. When receiving mixed reactions from original novel critics, he won the Best Roman Hugo Award in 1960. Some criticisms criticize the battle and military being, as well as the possible fascist subtexts. But 1997-made film used these themes as a parodisi of fascism and authority management. 2005-made Starship Troopers usually received negative criticism, but the more recently dated strategy game Starship Troopers: Terran Command continues with a “very positive” rating score in Steam since its release, which shows that still interest in the series.
