Halo Infinite has launched very problematic for multiple reasons, but despite all the negativity, there is a very high-quality Halo community that wants it to succeed and continue. This is because of the audience of actors who have made good memories, achievements in previous Halo productions and keep these memories as if they were inheritances. Now we have hints that 343 Industries feels the need to hold on to this nostalgia too much. We’ve been signaled this by the president of Halo Infinite.
Joseph Staten, who was in charge of cinematics in the original Halo trilogy, is in charge of the development of Halo Infinite. Microsoft and 343 Industries are key to Halo’s long-term plans. Staten, who recently joined Kinda Funny Xcast, asked why “no content related to the classic Halo has been raised among the new content updates for 343’s Halo Infinite, directed by the event’s host Parris Lilly, and why some details from the classic Halo have not been added.” No one expected an answer to that, but Staten’s response shocked everyone.
Classic Halo maps legend was beautiful
“Classic Halo has a lot of maps that are perfect,” he said, according to Staten, adding “It would be great to play on those maps again.”” Staten said that while he didn’t actually confirm anything with a clear mouth, bringing back the classic Halo maps with a joke would be “a fun thing” and that he took note of the possibility.
The clear message Staten actually wanted to send was that classic Halo maps could be added to the game, and this idea doesn’t seem to be a new idea. It’s certainly no surprise to Staten and 343 that Halo fans want this kind of content on Halo Infinite. His reaction to these requests cannot be considered worthless. If it wasn’t for that idea, he’d probably stop talking, don’t answer, or move on to something different. His casual and playful response proved otherwise.
Staten, however, is not making an official statement about popcast. Believing that 343 Industries is working on classic Halo maps for Halo Infinite can be considered a reliable assumption. Of course, there are unanswered questions about exactly when it will arrive, how much work has been done. That’s why Halo fans need to rein in their excitement for now because these plans could be cancelled out of the moment.
Halo Infinite Season 2 has just begun, with the season bringing two new maps into the game. If classic Halo maps are included in the game, it’s likely that season 3, which will arrive in mid-season or in November, will be released. He’ll wait for the season. In the coming months, we will expect 343 to make further announcements about its future plans for Halo Infinite. Perhaps the news will be shared during Microsoft’s Xbox & Bethesda Summer Games Presentation on June 12.
