If you remember, we told you about the chaos in Indonesia a few days ago. Access to some platforms that did not sign under the new rules in the country was stopped. Platforms such as Steam, Epic Store and Ubisoft were disabled, and indignation was created in the country. It seems that Steam has managed to solve this problem.
Daniel Ahmad, who analyzes the Asian region in particular, announced on his official Twitter account that Steam has been reopened. On the other hand, platforms such as the Epic Games Store and Origin are still inaccessible. In fact, Ahmad said in this tweet that the two have not made an official application for now.
Indonesia, just like Turkey, has signed a law that can unquestioningly shut down platforms that “disturb public peace.” Although brands such as Amazon, Google and Facebook signed agreements after this law, platforms such as PayPal, Yahoo, Origin, Epic Games seem to have refrained from signing. For this reason, access to these platforms has been closed in the country.
