Publisher Chorus Worldwide and developer Cellar Vault Games have announced Paper Ghost Stories: Third Eye Open, featuring a chilling story inspired by Malaysian and Chinese myths and culture. The game will debut for PC on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and Steam in early 2023.
The first game in the series, Paper Ghost Stories: 7PM, was released for PC via Steam on September 2, 2020, and is now available to play for free until June 2.
Third Eye Open will be a story-driven third-person adventure game that progresses in a paper theater aesthetic. Set in Malaysia in the early 2000s, the main character will struggle to cope with a power growing within him. In this game players will take on the role of the girl character Ting.
