Earlier this year, we were sorting through the games we were expecting in 2021. But the continuation of the pandemic process has also wiped out our list, with the release of many games extending into next year.
There is no doubt that independent games are affected by this process as well as large productions. So we’re also getting news of procrastination from the indie front. The last of these stories came from Stray; Annapurna Interactive announced that the game has been postponed until the first months of 2022. Perhaps to get some heart, they also posted a gameplay video:
Stray promises us an adventure in which we will rule a stray cat, as its name suggests. Our lost, isolated, separated cat from his family; He’s going to go around the city where there’s no one but the dorids, trying to protect himself from all kinds of threats while solving the mystery surrounding him.
Annapurna has not shared any information on why the game was postponed and exactly when it will be released, so all we know for now is that it will arrive in the first months of 2022. If you’re a cat and you’re desperate to embark on adventures, you’ll have to grit your teeth a little more, dear Gamers 🙂
