Someone will follow us in The Callisto Protocol
Schofield said the only thing he cares about is making good games, and he wants people to do it when playing The Callisto Protocol without comparing it to Dead Space. He also explained the differences between the two games.
“Yes, the new game is a sci-fi horror game, but it’s different. They have some similarities because I’m the one who did both… We’re not asking people to forget about Dead Space, but they should put it aside. The way we tell the story comes into play with cinematics and videos. The character talks a lot, there is also a follower, and there are other characters in the game. So it should feel different.”
No information about the “follower” mentioned in this statement has been shared yet. Schofield also mentioned his name for the first time in this meeting. In fact, when asked, he says he intends to show it in the next trailers. Therefore, before going into more detail, the official statement should come.
The fact that there are such characters in the game actually takes the production away from Dead Space as Schofield mentioned. As you know, a lonely and isolated experience prevailed in Dead Space.
