Sony has stated that the PlayStation 5 SSD can help reduce the file sizes of games, and we see one of the best examples of this with Subnautica.
All updates take up 14GB of space on Subnautica PlayStation 4. On PlayStation 5, it’s only 3.5GB. The size has been reduced by around 70% with compression technology provided by the enhanced data flow efficiency of the PlayStation 5 SSD.
Underwater adventure game Subnautica arrived on a new generation of consoles last week. It has 60FPS performance and 4K resolution modes.
