Ghost of Tsushima has become one of the most successful new IPs on PlayStation. The game, developed by Sucker Punch, was released in 2020 and as of the beginning of this year, sales exceeded 8 million.
It would be naïve to think that such a successful game will not continue, and Sucker Punch;s new job postings confirm the existence of the second game.
As stated in the advertisement Sucker Punch is looking for someone who will “offer engaging, changeable encounters in an open-world game that focus specifically on close combat and stealth.” Sucker Punch is also very unlikely to be running on a completely different IP in the open world, focusing on close battles.
Sucker Punch had previously posted a few jobs, requiring combat design to “have played Sucker Punch’s previous games and know the basics of gameplay.” Those job postings also contained details about Ghost of Tsushima’s combat systems.
