Goichi Suda, also known as Suda 51, which we know for games such as No More Heroes, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, announced several meetings with Marvel.
Grasshopper Manufacture CEO Suda said the first thing they would do was create an original IP, while also mentioning plans to release three games over the next 10 years.
“Until now, we have always worked with publishers with their own IPs and budgeted for developing these games with the commission. That’s how things usually turn out for independent studios. From now on, we want to create three new IPs and publish them one by one.
But I’ve also said before that we want to make IPs based on attractive original work. I think it’s going to depend on our negotiations with Marvel Studios. We talked to them about whether we could do something together,” Suda said.
Suda’s desire to make a play with Marvel has long been known, and even last year she said she wanted to make a Deadpool play. Who knows, maybe this time he’ll get his dream back.
