Super Bomberban R Online’s First Event Battle Begins Today

 

 

Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. today announced the first Event Battle of SUPER BOMBERMAN R ONLINE, a game available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC on Steam and Google Stadia. This update is released shortly after the start of the second season of the game.

 

Event Battles will take place during Quick Match battles using the Standard rule set. There will be a variety of maps for players to compete on – these maps will change every day to keep the excitement alive! The number of players who can participate in an Event Battle will vary daily, with four or eight Bombers at a time. Therefore, players can experience different levels of difficulty in matches.

 

This latest update also brings a new character to the series – Shiori Fujisaki Bomber! Shiori Fujisaki, one of the most popular characters in the Tokimeki Memorial series, is a lovely, intelligent and truly unsportsmanlike personality. At SUPER BOMBERMAN R ONLINE, Shiori will impress with his “Tokimeki Field” ability, which allows him to freeze all nearby characters for a short time. Shiori, “Unique Type” is available for purchase in a Bomber and 300 Bomber Coins from the in-game store.

Previously published on Stadia, SUPER BOMBERMAN R ONLINE pits 8 Bomber Brothers and other characters against each other in an online battle royale of 64 people based on KONAMI’s popular game Super Bomberman R.

Bomberman has the classic gameplay that makes the game a party favorite (move on battlefields, find hidden power-ups, and defeat your opponents with them), but the real difference of SUPER BOMBERMAN R ONLINE is the “Battle 64” mode. Finding themselves on one of 16 different starter maps, 64 players compete to become the best bomber on the battlefield in a fierce and entertaining battle within dwindling maps.

 

These include numerous costumes, accessories and bomb skins, a feature that has come for the first time. The bomb coating affects not only the bomb itself, but also the way it exploded. Players can purchase the Premium Pack if they wish, earning 14 extra characters from KONAMI’s classic games like Gradius, Silent Hill and Castlevania, and getting brand new looks and features!

The Premium Pack offers free “Battle 64” mode, as well as the chance to set up their own gaming rooms. In these rooms, gamers can choose from “Battle 64” mode, 16-person “Standard” mode or Grand Prix mode and set the rules of the game. The Grand Prix divides players into teams of up to three people, and the teams compete for the highest score for two rounds.
