Publisher Bandai Namco has announced that total sales for the Super Robot Wars franchise have exceeded 19 million copies worldwide.
The Super Robot Wars franchise began on April 20, 1991 with the release of the original Super Robot Wars for Game Boy. In addition, a total of 274 different content (as of June 2021) was included in the series.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the series, Bandai Namco released Super Robot Wars 30 for PC on Steam worldwide, followed by PlayStation 4 and Switch in Japan and Asia on October 28.
