Finnish developer Supercell and Polish studio CI Games have stopped both selling and downloading their games in Russia due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Supercell said in a statement that it has removed its games from app stores in Russia and that existing players will be suspended with their next update.
Sniper Ghost Warrior developer CI Games said it was halting all sales of its games in Russia “for the foreseeable future” and that it and its partners would work in the coming days to withdraw its catalog from stores. It will also stop future stock deliveries of its games.
Halting supercell’s sales said the studio would donate up to 1m euros to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Both studios join the ever-expanding list of gaming companies that have moved to support Ukraine.
