Last month, we said that Supermassive was developing games outside of Dark Pictures Anthology, and that it turned out to be called The Quarry. “The game is scheduled to be released later this year, so it shouldn’t be long before it’s announced,” the statement read, and The Quarry was officially announced.
Dark Pictures Anthology is released by Bandai Namco, while 2K. The Quarry, the publisher of this new game, will be released on June 10, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
The Quarry is a youth-horror game. ” As the sun sets on the last day of summer camp, the young supervisors of Hackett;s Quarry throw a party to celebrate. No kids. No adults. There are no rules,” he said in 2K.
According to Supermassive, the youth party will be undermined by bloodthirsty locals and a much more insidious evil, and it will turn into a night of horror. If there’s camping involved anyway, you know there’s a nice teen slasher out of there.
There will be nine different characters you can manage in the game. As with any Supermassive game, you decide who dies and who stays entirely with your choices.
The cast of the game is also very solid. It stars David Arquette (Scream), Ariel Winter (Modern Family), Lance Henriksen (Aliens), Justice Smith (Jurassic World), Brenda Song (Dollface) and Lin Shaye (A Nightmare on Elm Street).
