The Stalker-like online FPS game Survarium decided to close the doors after being in early access for 7 years, failing to move to the 1.0 stage. Vostok Games, the developer of the game, announced that Survarium will be terminated on May 31 and the game will be removed from Steam.
“That bittersweet day is approaching. On the one hand, it’s good to look at our future, and on the other hand, it’s hard to say goodbye to an old friend,” Vostok said. “Many of you have been with us in the good days, in the bad days. This is something really special that we are really thankful for. As we close this page, we take very good memories with us. A new chapter awaits us now and we are fully focused on this new work,” Vostok said.
In fact, Survarium’s admission of failure is not new news, we had already learned that the game would be closed in February. In March, the Russian invasion of Ukraine forced the team’s Kyiv staff to move elsewhere, making things even more difficult for Vostok.
Survarium’s most recent released update was update 0.69d in February.
