One of the most anticipated role-playing games of recent times is undoubtedly Baldur;s Gate 3. Especially when larian is behind the game, the studio of a modern RYO legend like Divinity: The Original Sin series.
Baldur;s Gate 3 has been in early access for a long time, with large patches coming to the game at regular intervals and adding innovations. Finally, for example, there was a major update to the game that added the Barbarian class, and the Wildheart Barbarian and Berserker Barbarian subclasses joined the game.
So far, however, there has been one race in the game that is not among the playable character races: gnome;s. The Gnome breed could be played in the Baldur;s Gate series and icewind dale, so we could actually see for sure what would happen in Baldur;s Gate 3, but of course to be sure, Larian had to either announce it or show it with an update.
Expected ;description; Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke said during the Vincke GDC 2022 speech.
Addressing the challenges of body shape diversity and the reflection of different physical characteristics of different fantastic breeds in the game, Vincke said: “The game supports a lot of player races, doesn’t it? Let me give you an example of what we’re having trouble with. You can play as a person, you can play as a gnome.”
Vincke will probably be thinking at this point, “e we didn’t announce a gnome before, right?” and he’ll be thinking ,”gnomes weren’t in the game, that’s what you know about today’s dodge.”
Of course, vincke didn’t talk about it anymore because it was an unplanned statement. So we don’t know the subracials, nor when they’re going to be added to the game. But when Baldur;s Gate 3 comes out, the gnome breed will be among the playable characters, that’s for sure.
