Nightdive Studios and Binge.com system shock, announced last year, will be directed by Greg Russo, who recently wrote the new Mortal Kombat film. Russo will write and direct the show.
Russo first thanked me for having the opportunity to work with the teams that brought the System Shock series to life, and then said, “I was waiting for the right opportunity to have my first directing experience, and I finally found it.”
Russo will also executive produce the series with Stephen Kick and Larry Kuperman of Nightdive Studios.
The series will take place at Citadel Station, where the original System Shock is set, and of course there will be SHODAN.
Greg Russo is busy right now. Not only is he writing a sequel to 2017’s Death Note, he’s also working on adaptations of F.E.A.R., Saints Row, Space Invaders and System Shock.
