The TFT, or Teamfight Tactics Showdown set, was released with the new update. The new update, based on contrasts, will tackle the good-bad, order-chaos and light-darkness.
The “TFT Set 5” update, which brings with it significant changes, will also change the face of the game. Riot Games’description and details regarding this new set are as follows;
Teamfight Tactics Showdown set out
Black Mist spreads not only to Runeterra, but to all League of Legends games. Black Mist infiltrates Teamfight Tactics through a mysterious portal, condemning everything in its way and destabilizing chaos and order. As armies fight for balance, players must choose between the guardians of order or the warriors of darkness. The theme and story of The Showdown will continue throughout the set and continuein the middle of the set.
Showdown Mechanics: Shadow Items
The Black Mist has spread to NearDiyar and curses everything it touches. Including stuff! Shadow items, the new set mechanics of The Showdown. Cursed by the magic of the Black Mist, these items are stronger than they normally are, but there’s usually a price to pay for using them. Shadow component items can appear in each circle and armory after the first one. The armory is a shop that works like a champion shop, where you can choose from certain items. The Arsenal will also play an important role in Hyper Refresh and will be a permanent feature. Players will have two to four shadow component items in each match, depending on their selection in the arsenal and circles.
Origins, Classes and Champions
With The Showdown, players will see their favorite champions have new classes and features. Some of the new classes are: forgotten, mischievous, nocturnal, cavalry, iron-clad, ghoulish and dawning. Players will face more than 3 titles compared to previous sets. These will increase flexibility in the advanced stages without making the options too stifling in the early stages.
Showdown Card
Players can start their TFT adventures with the Showdown Card and earn great loot by playing games, completing missions, and fighting for The Nearest. The Showdown Card acts as a map and key to help players on an adventure full of emoticons and tiny legend eggs. By receiving the special card, players can collect content from the base card, as well as more treasure, such as crackers, arenas, and a spectacularly maniacal Pengus. Players can also upgrade the card later to unlock special card content they’ve earned up to that level. As soon as players upgrade the card, they unlock the sneaky creature of this set, namely the Chaos Fairy!
Arenas and Roofers
Showdown Card content includes brand new crackers and arenas. Here are some of the new crackers players can use to blow up their opponents: Demon Influx, Prismatic Multiply, Wings of Anger, and Rune Impact. The Reckoning Card includes three new arenas: the Temple of Order, the Harmony World and the Assembly of Chaos. The showdown comes with card arenas as well as two new interactive arenas. The Count Spatula Arena has a Spatula powered by winning streaks, live music, an elegant portrait and a chilling setting. Players can grab a soda from the Yampiri Buffet at the Glitter Party Arena and sample delicious barbecued food.
Magic Rascal Little Legends
Unlike previous sets, the Showdown will have a multi-format story about Penguş and the new little legends Fýr, Ulukurt and Tezayak. Players will also have the opportunity to get to know The Chaotic Pengus.
Laboratories and Hyper-Renewal
The labs will offer players new and experimental ways to play TFT. The first of these labs will be Hyper-Regeneration. Hyper Refresh is a mode that allows players to get in and out of the game in roughly 15 minutes. Players start the match with 10 lives and lose 1 life every round they lose. As the game progresses, the amount of lives lost is 2. And there’s no savings gold here, so players can renovate the shop as they wish. Neutral petite tours, emerging loot, level-up system and circle rules are also different.
Hyper Refresh and other future labs will use a slightly different system, separate from basic ranked gameplay. Players will still be able to climb the rankings and show that they are the best Hyper Refresh player; however, their current ranks, such as Championship and Mastery, will be hidden in the main TFT experience.
