Tekken 7, Soulcalibur VI and Pac-Man 99 producer Motohiro Okubo have announced their departure from Bandai Namco.
Okubo wrote in a tweet: “It’s been a long time. I’m out of Bandai Namco Entertainment. From September 1st, I will work for a gaming company in Shibuya.”
Okubo did not specify which gaming company he would work for in Shibuya. But bandai expressed gratitude to Namco and the fans who supported him.
“I joined Namco 25 years ago and met many different people. I’m grateful to all the people I’ve met. Especially with Soulcalibur VI, I’ve got tremendous power from players all over the world. Thank you very much.”
