Tesla will recall about 130,000 of its vehicles due to heating issues. The “AMD is getting too hot” deer, which hasn’t run out in years, has apparently also burned the electric car maker’s head. But the American brand hopes it can solve this problem with a little update.
Models affected include the Model X and S, which were produced between 2021 and 2022, and the Model 3 and Model Y, which were produced in 2022. Since all of these models use AMD’s Ryzen APUs, it wasn’t difficult to find out where the problem was. The problem is that these APUs heat up quite quickly, affecting the vehicle’s functions.
Of course, this heating problem causes the car’s infotainment screen to work problematicly. Thus, many systems managed from the multimedia screen of the vehicle either work very hard or stop working. Let’s remember that important hardware such as a back-view camera is managed from this screen.
Tesla will aim to solve this problem with its update.
