For the first time in more than a decade, a new Test Drive game will be released, and fans of the series are also very excited. When Nacon announced that it would show the Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown at Nacon Connect, expectations were also quite high.
However, we could not see almost anything about the game in the trailer that lasted about 1 minute. Most of the trailer is full of vehicle visuals and voiceovers that tell the connection between the driver and the car. We only see two cars driving on a road towards the end (the cars don’t go together anyway, the image goes back and forth between the two cars), so in the huge trailer, the place where we see the visual for the game is about 9 seconds.
The trailer has only 500 likes against 20,000 views (which is only the number on Nacon’s own channel), and the majority of comments are negative.
For example, one comment says “it makes you suspicious to wait a year and see a one-minute trailer with no gameplay in it,” while another says “we saw a trailer that says nothing.” Another acclaimed comment said, “It took us a year to build a working white reflection test map and one nearly finished road. Stay tuned. Towards the end of this year, we’ll show you 3 t-shirts that you can buy for your avatar.”
“You also managed to kill the little excitement I had for the game. Congratulations, you don’t know anything about marketing.”
As you can see, this trailer did not make anyone happy, Nacon should come up with a solid gameplay video as soon as possible and revive the excitement towards the game.
