In fact, we didn’t expect to hear or see anything about The Elder Scrolls 6 at E3 2021. It was obvious that that TES 6 video from E3 2018 was only intended to take the gas out of the players, and there was no game yet. Bethesda has already said repeatedly that Starfield is their priority, saying, “The Elder Scrolls 6 is still years away.”
Todd Howard echoed that in an interview with The Telegraph. He said they wanted the players and the press to think of TES 6 as if it were still in the design phase.
“It’s good to think that The Elder Scrolls 6 is still in the design stage… Of course we’re testing the technology, seeing if it can handle what we want to see in the game. Every game requires new technologies, and Elder Scrolls 6 will require us to innovate on Creation Engine 2,” howard says.
Starfield’s release date was announced as November 11, 2022. If there’s no delay, there’s still more than a year to go, and then they’ll try to support the game. In addition, TES Online and Fallout 76 are games that receive constant updates. So it looks like it’s going to take them a year or two to focus on The Elder Scrolls 6.
