SNK has previously said the King of Fighters XV will be released in 2021. However, plans have changed and the game’s new release date has been announced as the first quarter of 2022.
The SNK attributed this postponement to COVID-19. “The development timeline that we initially set ourselves has been affected by the number of COVID-19 cases that continue to increase in Japan. We decided to change the release date, thinking that the quality of our product is the leading one.”
We are used to game postponements due to the pandemic and will continue to receive such news for a longer period of time.
