Developed in 2013 by France’s Julien “Orteil” Thiennot, Cookie Clicker was one of the first and most important games to lead to the birth of the “incremental game” genre. They were later called “idle games”, which means that even if you don’t do anything, they are the kind of games that continue to play on their own in the background. But the addictive part lies in your ability to accelerate this increase by clicking.
Cookie Clicker, it was all about clicking on the cookie. At first you would win a cookie every time you clicked, then you could buy more cookies with the cookies you collected, you could buy more cookies, grannies, mines, factories etc. and automate and fold cookie production. So at some point, the number of cookies that went in the form of three or five could reach tens of thousands, millions, billions, trillions and beyond.
Cookie Clicker on Steam will include more than 600 improvements, more than 500 Steam achievements, cloud recording, music from C418; and more. The game is priced at $5, and we’ll probably have a small price with local pricing.
There are also many mini-games and features in the game. Cookie Clicker is the kind of game where you think I’m going to play in my spare time and you’re going to notice that you’re eating all your free time, so be careful before you start, 🙂
