The new God of War game announced for PlayStation 5 in September 2020 has been postponed to 2022, deviating from its previously planned 2021 release plan, PlayStation Studios president Hermen Hulst said in a newly released PlayStation Blog interview. The PlayStation 4 version has also been confirmed.
Hulst: ” The new God of War game was developed some time after Horizon Forbidden West. Therefore, santa monica studio decided to postpone the game until next year so that it could offer quality of the amazing God of War game that we all want to play.”
Regarding the PlayStation 4 version, Hulst said: “We will develop a game for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. If PlayStation 4 owners want to play this game, they will be able to access it without problems.”
