Electronic Arts was forced to postpone the release of its next Need for Speed game last year as it moved to support EA DICE in the development of Battlefield 2042. New rumors of the race game, which has been postponed for some time, are beginning to emerge.
Tom Henderson said in a post on Twitter that EA expects the next Need for Speed game to be released in September or October of this year.
EA is expecting Need for Speed by Criterion Games to be released in September/October 2022.

Henderson added: “Electronic Arts has had to postpone the new game in the Need for Speed series to help develop Battlefield 2042. So I expect the new game in September or October.”
