The last time we saw the Third Street Saints gangsters, they were stuck in a simulation and declared war on an alien race. The series, which began its life as a GTA clone but stopped taking itself seriously as it progressed, is set to return to its roots years later. The game, which debuts on the opening day of Gamescom, will debut on February 25.
Developer Volition featured unfamiliar faces in the trailer for the new Saints Row. The actors seem to be bossing the gang of neenah, kevin and eli. This time, we see the series moving to an area inspired by the southeast of America. Santo Ileso will be the name of our city that will make the Latin American concept feel to our marrow.
We don’t yet know the exact extent of the game’s madness, but as always, it looks like we’re going to go after building our own criminal organization. Of course, in doing so, we’ll be at war with gangs like Los Panteros, The Idols and Mashall Defense Industries.
The developer team says Santa Ileso will be far superior to its predecessors in every sense. But I’m more interested in what tools we can cross this huge sandbox map with. After all, our characters who could fly away in Saints Row 4 gave us a great “power fantasy.”
