The developer Expansive World, known from theHunter: Call of the Wild, is now back with a new open world game. The company, which has proven its success in open-world hunting games thanks to game engines called APEX, aims to carry it to fishing games. Call of the Wild: The Angler was announced with a trailer and seems to be of particular interest to players who love the genre.

A game has appeared on the horizon where you will try to find the right spot to go fishing in the open world and enchant you with its graphics. Expansive Worlds announced Call of the Wild: The Angler with a trailer. We know them before from theHunter: Call of the Wild – which I couldn’t get enough of pre-ordering and playing. However, the part that draws our attention here is that a fishing game will take place in the open world rather than the graphics of the game. If you’ve played it, you’ve probably seen other games like Fishing Planet set on small maps rather than the open world.
Call of the Wild: The Angler is scheduled to be sold on Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store for PC later this year. In addition, after the release for PC, Expansive Worlds states that console versions of the game will also come. You can click here to visit the store page.

Players will learn new fishing techniques throughout their CoTW: The Angler experience and enrich their fishing tackle, reel and bait collections as well. Thanks to this, they will be able to keep new species of fish. Each species has its own unique patterns of behavior and environmental conditions that bring them together. Therefore, players must master these environmental conditions and learn the behavior of the fish in order to catch the type of fish they are targeting. This aspect of the game also shows that they want to reflect hunting in its truest form to the players, as they do in theHunter. We don’t have an official release date yet, but we can say that this announcement is especially exciting for players who love the genre.
