When Sony announced The Last of Us Part 1 Remake, it also announced that the game would first be released to PS5, while the PC version was said to come at a later date. The release date of the game on PlayStation 5 is certain, September 2, but how long PC players should wait is a mystery even for now.
However, if we accept the information from one of the developers of the game itself, PC players will not have to wait long.
Jonathan Benainous, one of the senior media fabric illustrators, responded to a fan who said he couldn’t wait to see the game on PC:
“I’m glad you’re excited, man. The PC version will come out a little later, but right after the release on PS5.”
If there wasn’t such a slight time difference between the releases of the PS5 and PC versions, Benainous probably wouldn’t have said such a thing to avoid creating unnecessary excitement. So it’s very likely that we’ll be playing the PC version of The Last of Us Remake later this year.
