Adam Kicinski, the president and CEO of CD Projekt RED, which came to the forefront with The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077 game, made various statements. In a press release, it was stated that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released in the fourth quarter of 2022.
A report from CD Projekt RED also states: “An updated version (next-gen version) of The Witcher 3 is scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter of 2022.”
The next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was originally scheduled to come out in 2021, but has been postponed to Q2 2022 and now Q4 2022. The next-gen version will also include a new DLC based on the popular Netflix series.
On the other hand, the next-generation version will include a number of visual and technical improvements, including ray tracing and faster load times, as previously announced. It will include all expansions and extra content except the base game.
