As we enter the final days of 2021, we will witness the return of the Matrix. With 20 days to go until the fourth Matrix film Resurrections,more details about the film are beginning to emerge. Along with the video deja Vu, released as a mini-trailer, the Warner Brothers officially announced the sale of tickets. But the interesting development of the day came from Matrix star Keanu Reeves;d. Reeves explained in a statement that the tone of the film will be slightly different than thought.
“There’s a lot of humor in the film. This will be our attempt at the Matrix again. The film is super clever, fun, skeptical and funny.” Reeves mentioned the change of tone. Of course, the funny here is not a cynical attitude that makes jokes all the time, like the MCU’s Tony Stark. I don’t think a few little jokes in the Matrix Universe are going to hurt anybody. I hope they don’t waste the mcu-influenced universe on jokes. Because such a unique atmosphere is very capable of being wasted by comedy.
The Deja Vu video also shows some scenes we haven’t seen in trailers before. “Change is coming.” The comparison with the old movies is quite stylish. Although I still don’t understand why we’re going to see a fourth Matrix movie, it’s always exciting to see Neo and Trinityback in action. The Matrix Resurrections will be available to watch in theaters and on HBO Max on December 22.
