Titanfall couldn’t stand the DDOS attacks. Respawn is getting ready to pull the plug on the game. The game is currently being removed from sales platforms and the game’s membership system will be cancelled on March 1, 2022. Respawn reminds us that Titanfall 2 was developed, noting that this decision is not the end of the road for Titanfall.
Due to the intense interest in Apex Legends in particular, several people have already been working on Titanfall’s support team for months.
Titanfall loses to DDOS attacks, unplugged
It’s safe to say Titanfall is a fateless game. The game had already been under attack by hackers since 2019, and because of this, steam reviews of the game were also mostly negative. Last April, Titanfall servers were attacked by DDOS and the game became unplayable.
Respawn said they would focus on the incident, but in mid-July they acknowledged how bad Titanfall was. So much so that Titanfall players hacked Apex Legends in July to make their voices heard, sending messages in-game with the theme “Help us save Titanfall.” These Titanfall-loving players even set up a site called SaveTitanfall.com.
The decomletive Titanfall servers (for players who can still play the game) will remain open, but it’s unclear whether Respawn will make an effort on the game’s servers after this minute.
