There’s a strange balance in DC comics. Without a balance on the power scale, DC has managed to amplify the excitement with some very strange villains over the years. For example, against superman being almost invincible, we saw another Kryptonese like Zod in the universe. When it comes to Batman’s psychopathy, Gotham has become a madman’s fair. Perhaps the physically eccentric divine enemies didn’t become Batman’s iconic enemies, but Gotham’s lunatics managed to give the Cloaked Horseman a very difficult time.
Along with Spider-Man, Batman, who to me has the most iconic enemies, has also been confronted by lunatics who have historically not made much sense. When it comes to Batman, let’s take a look at the Batman enemies, where even Arkham is light because his mental health is directly shelved. In addition to the bad guys who have really made history, there are plenty of bad guys who say “this is neither fasting nor sauerkraut” have crossed the borders of Gotham province. I avoided justice league’s enemies on the list because the flavor I was looking for was batsy’s weirdo in Gotham. Naturally, I start the journey at the lunatic fair by reminding that it is a subjective list:
+Two-Face – Coin Toss World Champion Harvey Dent!
When it comes to the cradle of corruption like Gotham, finding reliable people is like finding an oasis in the desert. Harvey Dent, the young district attorney in Gotham, was like an oasis. He was a big-hearted diver who was dedicated to the war on crime and corruption. Until the dark side of Gotham hit you in the face like an acid! Gotham’s conflict with salvatore Vincent Maroni, one of the great mafia bosses, suddenly led to the death of Dent, the city’s handsome prince on a white horse; and the birth of Two-Face. Things are getting more complicated for Batman after Maroni threw acid in Harvey’s face. The relationship between Harvey Dent and Batman, whose character was suddenly split in two, became so complex over time that the comic book pages began to feel more like the rescue of an old friend than a classic Batman nemesis.
Although he himself was a qualified mental patient, a comrade with a man of Batman’s honor code was crucial. The values Harvey Dent represented for Gotham were far beyond what Batman could do in the shadows. The birth of Two-Face and its manifestation in the criminal world was psychologically one of the most severe blows to Batsy. The madness of Two-Face, which Batman has spent all his power to rehabilitate since the early 1940s, is unlikely to improve. Harvey and Batman have faced off repeatedly, leaving justice entirely to chance with their lucky money on tour. Unlike a classic villain, acting with his own code of honor was the most exclusive feature of Two-Face, while knowing the dirty laundry of the entire underworld was a huge cause of corruption for Gotham. Harvey Dent, who, like Anakin, has become what he’s trying to destroy, has a very special place not only for Batman, but for all comic book characters.
-Snowman – Yeti;’s Lost Child (No Joke.)
<img alt="" src="//storage.oyungezer.com..en/ogz-public/images/news/2022/03/batkotuleri/bat2.jpg”>
Thanks to the snowfalls that have dominated the country this year, plenty of photos of snowmen have painted social media white. And did you ever think that you made an old enemy of Batman when you made these snowmen?! Even if you haven’t, it’s a sad fact. In the 1980s, they came across DC writers Klaus Kristin, who had a bit of trouble creating enemies for Batman. The most interesting thing about the character wasn’t that his name was a snowman! A woman named Katrina Kristin and a Yeti; yes, there’s no mistake, it was a Yeti hybrid child, Klaus. In addition to being as strong as a Yeti, it had very predictably ice powers.
Klaus Kristin, who also competes in sports events because he is half-capable, entered the world of crime thinking , “Why don’t I use these powers to make money?!” But when it came to Batman, even a snowman was enough to play detective. After searching everything from Snowman’s mother’s diary to his father’s identity, Batman was finally ready to fight. At the end of the ski race in Austria, Klaus fled to the Himalayas. For Kristin, who knew she had a psychopath like Batman on her back, there was no peace in the Himalayas. Eventually, Batman found himself there, too. Both Snowman and yeti fought his father. But at the end of the day, he decided to leave Snowman alone, who was dying because his genes were impaired. Even if we steal bread in Gotham, batman’s “rage” won’t leave us alone until we die. Poor snowman.
+Ra;s Ghul – Both Grandfather, Assassin and Head of The Devil
While his fame and fame occasionally put him on the radar of Superman or Justice League, Ra;s Ghul is a qualified Batman nemesis in the sense of insanity. In fact, Ra;s Ghul (meaning Head of Satan), which appeared in the early 1970s later than the classic Batman enemies, soon became a serious part of batman’s life and Bruce Wayne’s life. I didn’t include him on the list either, but the love he had with his daughter Talia and Bruce; and the subsequent birth of Batman’s son, Ghul; and his grandson Damian, made things all the more complicated. When we first saw Ra;s Ghul, who had acquired the image of Thanos created by the MCU long ago, his sole purpose was to make the world a better place! However, it was inevitable that Ra;s Ghul and Batman, who planned to kill most of humanity to do so, would face off.
Although it appeared in the 1970s, it was born exactly 600 years before this period. Thanks to the famous Lazarus Pit, Ra;s Ghul, which keeps its power and health alive, has a very special place in the Batman Universe. Not only does he have a very long life expectancy, but he is also a genius in terms of assassination along with his mystical heiress powers, and even if he dies physically, he has an infinite life cycle by transferring his mind to other bodies. He even stared at his grandson Damian’s body for a while, but the attempt was neutralized by the joint efforts of Damian and Bruce. One of the greatest assassins and leaders in history, Ra;s Ghul has become a formidable enemy for batman/bruce wayne, both with his genetic heritage.
-Condiment King – Bat Kick with Mustard Sauce
Batman: The Animated Series was a cartoon at its core, but it had a much darker atmosphere than its period. But it’s important to remember that it’s still a cartoon. Harley Quinn, there was a very interesting villain in this series that we saw for the first time. Condiment King! The King of Condiment, whose ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard you’d want to put in a hot dog, was a character who was normally cartooned for fun and whose target audience was children. Whatever happened, DC writers decided to take themselves a little seriously and move them to comic books. So much so that instead of the ketchup/mustard guns in the cartoon, he entered the comic book panels with a long-barreled sauce gun and patched costume, shouting, “Who wants more flavor?!” The fact that he thought he could bring chaos to the world with special sauces and was a qualified lunatic immediately caught the attention of Batman and his apprentices.
Naturally, this poor king, who was not taken too seriously in comic books and was beaten and gravyed by Robin and Batgirl before he even came to Batman, took his place in history as one of the strangest enemies in Batman’s history. Condiment King, who batman even joked about calling “Mustard Man” (which you’re more or less familiar with the joke limit if you know Batman), managed to make me laugh, and ultimately did the goal of Bruce Timm, who created the character. The saddest part about him is that he was betrayed and killed by higher-ranking villains. Rest in peace, King of Condiment, and I reminisce about you every time I squeeze ketchup.
+Scarecrow – Quality Nightmare Fuel
It’s psychologically necessary for Batman to strike fear into his enemies and anyone who wants to commit a crime in Gotham. Fortunately, Gotham has a competent expert on this! Professor Jonathan Crane was a highly successful pssychologist before going clean. However, when his research was somewhat outlandish, he wanted to conduct his experiments without being trapped in ethical frameworks. That’s exactly what scarecrow was born like. One of Batsy’s oldest enemies, The Scarecrow, was created in the early 1940s by grandmasters Bill Finger and Bob Kane. Working on people’s fears and phobias, Crane never shied away from subjecting the people of Gotham with his drugs, and of course he quickly crossed paths with Batman, the master of fear.
There are very few characters in the world with a subconscious as chaotic as Batman. Just that makes him a rare subject for Scarecrow. But batman, prepared for everything, manages to overcome these intense psychological and emotional attacks every time and defeat himself and Scarecrow. But the comics we read and even the games we play in the process are really immersive. I mean, I can’t think of a better enemy to Batman than his own subconscious. That’s why Scarecrow has been the most feared and respected of Batman’s enemies for many years. However, scarecrow’s immunity to fear affects him more than Batman, so his constant psychological weakness makes him a little weak. However, if a potential Batman game were made, I would definitely like to play the new Scarecrow episodes.
-Bouncer – Bouncer Bounce
When I was a kid, I loved playing football with bouncing balls. I’d love to say that both their smallness and their very fast tabs improved my technique, but they didn’t. Instead, I witnessed a Batman villain acting with the same logic as the bouncing ball. I just mentioned a lunatic who sprays his enemies with ketchup and mayonnaise, but there’s nothing inferior to a lunatic who turns himself into a bouncing ball. An unnamed man working in a metal factory conducts an experiment by alloying steel with a rare tire. Eventually, realizing that this alloy can bounce endlessly, the unnamed friend begins to bounce around the criminal world, making himself a costume from this substance he calls Elastalloy.
Bouncer, whose path eventually crosses with Batman, can’t stop the tab, as if the grasshopper jumps one, jumps two. Eventually, Batman’s amazing engineering skills find a formula to stop this tab, and he is captured and brought to justice by robin, the poor metalworker. Bouncer, which we first saw in the 1960s, rivals the Sinking again much later. This time, he jumps up and down with momentum to beat the Cloaked Cavalry, but Batman hits the volley spectacularly upon his arrival. As the ball sits at his feet, bouncer loses control and bounces left and right, condemning crime or jumping while unconscious. I can’t help but wonder if anyone in the world really wanted to be a bouncing ball.
+Bane – It’s Not For Everyone to Crunch Batman’s Waist
No story armor in the history of comics has been as thick as Batman has been. It is not possible for a person who does not have superpowers to know so many languages, to be an engineer, and to do more experienced work than experts in various fields such as biology and chemistry. As such, the joy of seeing such a empowered character being beaten is completely different. To me, I have a lot of respect for KnightSaga, one of the most special series in the Batman complex; Knightall, the head; Bane, who broke Batman’s back. Bane managed to break Batman both mentally and physically, and later drafted KnightSaga, which could also be described as the Batmans Fight. The fact that he started a period that would go down in comic book history and managed to break Batman makes him truly unique.
We don’t know Bane’s real name, growing up in Pena Duro prison in Santa Prisca. But his father, Edmund Dorrance, is a former British Army man. Dorrance, who had an affair with a woman in Santa Prisca and disappeared, was later seen as a villain named King Snake. Bane, who had to grow up in Pena Duro without any sin just because of his father’s crimes, developed himself both physically and mentally throughout this prison process. So much so that when he was finally released, he looked fearsome with his height exceeding two meters. Bane, who was named Bane along with his memories of the prison period and made a quick introduction to the world of crime, came to town with the sayings “Gotham; I will defeat!” and indeed defeated Gotham. (he even broke it!)
We also learned a lot about the history of the character, who first came into our lives in 1993 with batman: Vengance of Bane series. Bane, who freed all of Arkham to defeat Batman in Knightfall and put Batman in a very difficult position both physically and mentally, learned the identity of Bruce Wayne with his research. Wayne’s departure from his mansion by beating batman to death was perhaps his own end. Eventually, another lunatic, Jean-Paul Valley (Azrael), became Batman and avenged Bruce Wayne. Of course, I strongly recommend that you read the Azrael vs Bruce story that followed, KnightsEnd.
-Mr. ZZZ – Let’s Put The Friend in a Shower Maybe He’ll Socit
Gotham has a really solid mafia and gang structure underground. We also come across quality characters around here who have made it their mission to be the good villain. And then there’s Little Italy’s Kingpin. When I say kingpin, they just look like style, and I think there’s a great salute. Mr. ZZZ, whose name or background we don’t know, is the leader of a gang of Kelli Felli. The great thing about this friend is that he sleeps all the time. But don’t be fooled by this state of sleep, he’s a very muscular and strong brother.
Mr. ZZZ, who suffers from this incurable sleeping disorder, is interestingly aware of everything that’s going on around him, and even more interestingly, he’s a much-preferred gangster. So much so that he was hired several times by Hush, Scarecrow and Penguin and proved his age. Scarecrow’s ultimate goal, though, may be to experiment on Mr. ZZZ, but he’s doing his job even if he sleeps when it comes to his work. It’s the first time in all these years of comic book history that I’ve seen continuous sleep as a superpower with Mr. ZZZ. I wonder if he’s connected to Garfield.
+Joker – Two Halves of an Apple
When it comes to villains and insanity, the top of the list has been non-negotiable for many years. Clown prince of crime, Joker, but which Joker?! While there aren’t many details in DC comics that attract me, the Batman/Joker dynamic is probably the best dynamic in comic book history. Two qualified mentally ill people obsessed with each other complement each other like Yin and Yang. Throughout history, the Joker has changed and perhaps evolved. Batman’s anger and curiosity for him remained intact. Batman, who sat in the Mobius chair during the Darkseid War, had one question in his head that he could never solve in his life. “What is the real name of the Joker?
The comic book question I’m most afraid to answer may be the Joker’s identity. Because one of the things that makes it unique is this mystery. Dc’s on a bit of a ridiculous slope here, but we’ve learned there are three different Jokers. No matter how canon these three Jokers are, it’s clear that he’s an increasingly demonized Joker over time. Gotham is a Joker, a true Joker, who we’re more worried about doing to Batman than what he’s going to do to Batman. The three Jokers dc announced two years ago are as follows: Criminal, Clown and Comedian. As you can imagine, this trio represents the Joker state over time. The culprit is the Joker in the 1940s in the Golden Age of comics. The Clown, the Joker of the Silver and Bronze Age, and the Comedian are also considered the last Jokers to have the most evil smile of modern times; the Joker version of the Killing Jockey.
Although DC tries to undermine the character’s past and magic, it’s an indescribable pleasure to watch the Joker and Batman, the world’s best detective, go crazy with him. Throughout history, bruce wayne’s fearful dream, the Joker, with all sorts of psychological tortures dating back to the death of Batman’s parents, is probably the most iconic villain in the comic book world.
Gotham Bird Sanctuary Bonus: Penguin – It’s Hard to Take Seriously Someone Nicknamed Penguin
When it comes to gotham’s dark world, the characters become very interesting. But even though I’ve been reading, watching and playing everywhere for years, I can’t take Penguin seriously. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a very important and old figure in comic books. He’s also one of the original villains of the 1940s, but he can’t always convince me that he’s a serious villain, both in his type and his name. Born Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, Penguin is constantly excluded as a child due to his obesity and short stature. Penguin, who comes from a very rich family, puts his entire fortune on the line to become a respected crime leader to overcome these childhood traumas and satisfy his ego.
Although he may seem stunted and powerless, he has a truly extraordinary tactic and commercial zeal. That’s how he can be a serious opponent to Batman and lead a major criminal empire. The numbers of his ultra-technological umbrella, his most iconic weapon, manage to surprise the reader every time in comic books. Well written, even a madman named Penguin can be a worthy enemy. Cobblepot, who also has a special bond with birds, has managed to find a solid place in Batman’s history, although he still hasn’t quite convinced me.
Gotham Qualified Crazy Bonus: Riddler – I Have a Riddle Kids
<img alt="" src="//storage.oyungezer.com.tr/ogz-public/images/haberler/2022/03/batkotuleri/bat15..jpg”>
We have a very high-quality lunatic in the finale of our list, which we came to the end of without encountering any sane characters. Edward Nigma, Enigma, riddler. Gotham can be your playground if you’ve tasted all the pleasures that can be obtained legally with super intelligence. Especially if you’ve got the money to do it. You can play with Batman all you want, eventually you’ll end up in a mental hospital or prison, and getting out of there is child’s play in Gotham conditions. Knowing all this very well, Riddler has loved dealing with Batman since the late 1940s with constant riddles and little mind games. Considering that Batman has superior intelligence, it’s a pleasure for the two of them to fight each other like a cat and mouse game.
Edward, who has a fairly full criminal record despite previously telling the police and Batman about his crimes in the form of riddles, can see that his ultimate goal is to have fun. It’s a bit Joker-like, but the fact that he hasn’t lost as much sanity as he does, and that he has certain boundaries, perhaps doesn’t take Riddler too far. And then there’s riddler;the writers who write some stale puzzles from Riddler’s mouth and try to save the day. But despite everything, Riddler is one of the most worthy enemies of a quality lunatic like Batman. It was a great move for me that they chose him against a immobile Bruce Wayne in The Batman. (I haven’t seen The Batman yet at the time of writing this article.) As batman comics go on, Riddler will have plenty of riddles to ask both the reader and Batsy.
Gotham’s crazy fair features these friends as well as plenty of other names. In batman comics that have been going on since the 1940s, we have naturally seen countless enemies. There’s ketchup, mayonnaise and jewelry store robbers and Penguins. I didn’t list a formation like Court of Owls because I wanted to look at characters that meant more on their own. There may be places in the list that you don’t agree with, or you might want to make additions. Feel free to write about batman lunatics you love or find ridiculous. After all, Batman is prepared for anything.
