As you know, another legendary strategy game developed by Creative Asssembly and released by SEGA has come out of the remaster process. A new comparison video was released yesterday for Total War: ROME REMASTERED, announced last week. The differences of the revised version with the original game have been addressed and changes are coming that delight fans.
Total War: ROME REMASTERED comes on top of the first game
The new video, posted on total war’s official YouTube channel, shows some of the new content coming to the game with the remastered version, while also highlighting the differences between it and the original game. Total War: ROME REMASTERED, where textures and models, atmosphere and image quality are improved, looks quite new compared to the original game. You can watch the video below. Have a good time!
In particular, we see post-processing effects and details such as lighting & shaders being dropped on top of them. As you can see at the beginning of the video on the updated battlefields, the biggest change seems to have been made in this area. In addition, 3D models of the units we control in the game have been replaced with new ones. With the increased level of detail, new technology render effects have become one of the most prominent features in the remake.
However, we also see that innovations have been made in the campaign map. The textures and shaders of the expedition map have also been refreshed and presented with a better image quality than the original game. They are also more understandable in terms of interface and have adopted a style familiar from the new Total War games. However, wide and ultra-widescreen support will also appear in Total War: ROME REMASTERED. Native 4K resolution support is also one of the technical advances that comes with remaking.
Improvements to the visual effects of the game, such as catapults and fiery arrows, also do not look bad. Assuming the original game came out in 2004, we can only saythat the technology at the time could have been so far away .
The game will be released on April 29, 2021. It is currently available for pre-order on Steam with a price tag of 175.00 TL. If you have the original game, you can buy the game for half price until 02:00 TSI on June 1, 2021. So what do you guys think of this revised strategy classic?
