Developer and broadcaster Tripledot Studios has acquired mobile entertainment company Live Play Mobile for an undisclosed sum.
Live Play Mobile is a team of 50 people spread across four offices in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, London and Europe. It is known for its live app Live Play Bingo, which broadcasts more than 30 game shows per day.
As part of the acquisition, Live Play Mobile will continue to operate as an independent company, retaining the positions of founder and CEO Stuart Lewis-Smith and CCO Geremie Camara.
“We have been following Live Play Mobile since its inception and believe in the vision of creating a new game category that combines live entertainment with games that everyone loves to play,” said Lior Shiff, co-founder and CEO of Tripledot.
